Caravaggio Corvettes Unveils Unica Series 1, its first C8 Corvette Line with Stunning Euro-Styled Carbon Fiber Body for Stingray and ZO6

CARAVAGGIO -
Caravaggio Corvettes has announced the stunning new Unica Series 1, a limited-edition sports car with an elegant, redesigned carbon fiber body based on the Stingray and ZO6 C8 Corvette. Only 30 of the gorgeous cars will be hand-built and documented for future collectability.

“We’ve made the Corvette a blank canvas for owners to design and build the one-off car of their dreams since 1986,” said John Caravaggio, founder and CEO of Caravaggio Corvettes. “Our new Unica Series 1 is a natural evolution for Caravaggio Corvettes. We will offer 30 carbon fiber bodied C8 Corvettes with a sophisticated design that builds upon the current car’s design. The reimagined car has organic styling that combines the best of American sports car culture with the cultured lines of a European exotic.”

A Canadian custom car manufacturing company specializing in Corvettes, John Caravaggio has been creating bespoke custom versions of the American sports car for almost four decades. His shop, truly a North American Carrozzeria offers handcrafted interiors and exteriors, along with performance upgrades for the Corvette. Each car is a work of art that was completely individualized from top to bottom.

Caravaggio Corvette guides clients to add their own personality and tastes to every element of their vehicle. They can choose from an unlimited amount of interior and exterior options including fabrics, leathers, carbons, colors and finishes. Performance upgrades range from a supercharger, Brembo brakes, additional cooling, various wheels and engine tuning. Each car will wear special badges that proudly identifies it as a Caravaggio Unica Series 1 Corvette.

“While we’re creating the first numbered and documented series in our history, no two cars will be alike,” said Caravaggio. “Each client will have a private consultation with me to create the Unica Series 1 C8 Corvette that matches their personality and taste. We will personalize their exterior color and wheel choices, bespoke the interior and choose any performance upgrades. The result will be a one-off car designed and built in the tradition of the great custom coach builders in Europe.”

Not only does the carbon fiber body give Caravaggio Corvettes the opportunity to restyle the C8, it slices approximately 40 pounds off the car. To make the Unica Series 1 Corvettes even more special, five of them can be optioned with the carbon fiber body in a European exposed weave. This will give the C8 an exotic finish that will impress anyone who spies it.

Almost any color in the world is available for the Caravaggio Unica Series 1 C8 Corvette, limited only by a client’s imagination and paint manufacturer. Custom stripes can be painted on the sleek car and clear coated to ensure clean and precise edges throughout the design.

Interior choices for the Unica Series 1 C8 include full handcrafted leather, bold colors for seats and stitching, matte carbon pieces and Alcantara accents. The interior can include stripes or badging that mirrors the exterior. Thumb grips can be added to the steering wheel, which gives a look and feel comparable to European exotics.

MSRP for the Unica Series 1 Caravaggio Corvette package starts at USD$110,000, not including the base Stingray or ZO6 C8. Orders for the 30 limited edition Unica Series 1 Caravaggio Corvettes are being accepted and production of the cars will begin in the second quarter of 2022. Each masterpiece will be custom designed, built, tested and documented at the company’s facility in Concord, Ontario, Canada.

In addition to building exotic, custom versions of the C8 Corvette for clients worldwide, Caravaggio also offers a full line of late-model Corvette parts and customizes C5-C8 Corvettes.

Barrett-Jackson to Auction First Retail Production 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 at 2022 Scottsdale Auction to Benefit Operation Homefront

BARRETT-JACKSON
Barrett-Jackson, the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, will auction one of the most highly anticipated Corvettes during the auction company’s 50th anniversary celebration at WestWorld of Scottsdale, January 22-30. The first retail production 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (Lot #3009) will cross the world-famous auction block on Saturday, January 29 to benefit Operation Homefront, the national nonprofit celebrating 20 years of building strong, stable, and secure military families.

“We have a longstanding tradition of selling VIN 001 and first-production vehicles at our auctions to benefit many charities doing exceptional work in our communities,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Over our 50-year history, we’ve helped raise more than $135 million to date and these highly collectible vehicles like this Z06 in Scottsdale have played a large role in this. We’re honored to once again set the stage for another monumental moment in automotive history with 100-percent of the hammer price of this first retail production Z06 going to Operation Homefront.”

The first retail production 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 puts the world on notice with its striking appearance, sound and tactile feel. The new American supercar is set apart by its beating heart - the all-new 5.5-liter LT6, the highest-horsepower, naturally aspirated V8 to hit the market in any production car, ever. An all-new flat-plane crankshaft design entices drivers to push the tachometer to 8,600 rpm, creating 670hp. With 12 available exterior colors, seven interior colors and seven available wheel packages, the 2023 Corvette Z06 is the most bespoke Corvette yet.

Operation Homefront, the beneficiary of this 2023 Corvette Z06, is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable and secure military families so that they may thrive – not simply struggle to get by – in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. Through critical financial assistance, housing and family support programs, Operation Homefront helps military families overcome the short-term bumps in the roads so that they do not become long-term chronic problems.

“We are absolutely thrilled that the proceeds of the auction of the first ever retail production mid-engine Corvette Z06 will help us help our military families overcome their financial hardships,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray Jr., president and CEO of Operation Homefront. “All are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our friends at Chevrolet and Barrett-Jackson as their unwavering commitment to our important work allows us to continue to build strong, stable and secure military families so they can have the opportunity to thrive in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.”

“Giving back to those in need is at the heart of Barrett-Jackson and at the hearts of our generous bidders,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “Knowing that 100-percent of the hammer price from this iconic Corvette will go to support our military and their families that have sacrificed so much for all of us, this will undoubtedly be a highlight of our 50th anniversary celebration.”

Those interested in being a part of the 50th anniversary celebration and registering to bid for the 2022 Scottsdale Auction, including the opportunity to bid on this 2023 Corvette Z06 and support Operation Homefront, may do so here.
