August
was the strongest month ever for Nissan Rogue sales in Canada with
2,178 sold, an increase of 49.9 per cent over August 2010. Sales of
Murano doubled over the same month last year with 608 sold, an increase
of 105.4 per cent. Nissan trucks also achieved significant milestones
this month with best-ever months for both Frontier and Titan selling 353
and 386 units, respectively. Armada had its best August ever with 57
sold.
Sales
of the all-electric Nissan LEAF continued with fleet customers in
August, and consumer reservations for the car opened on August 27th.
Consumer deliveries will begin in the coming weeks. Sales of the Nissan
NV full-size commercial van have steadily increased each month since
sales began this spring.
On
the Infiniti side, the FX sold 115 units this month, an increase of 7.5
per cent while the G line-up sold 341 units. In August, Infiniti
revealed the first photos of the all-new Infiniti JX Concept, a
7-passenger luxury cross-over joining the line-up next spring.
“Both
the Murano and Rogue were game-changers when they were introduced and
they still resonate with Canadians looking for utility, innovative
features and comfort, wrapped in a stylish package,” said Allen Childs,
President of Nissan Canada, Inc. “With the introduction of the Nissan
LEAF and our commercial van line-up this year, we continue to push the
boundaries in new segments.”
