Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel takes to the track in an Infiniti road car ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix

NISSAN CANADA - Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel started his Canadian Grand Prix weekend early yesterday, test driving a high performance Infiniti car around a track in Montreal.

The 23 year-old Red Bull Racing driver, recently announced as Infiniti's Global Brand Ambassador, took to the wheel of a 3.7-litre V6 Infiniti G37 Coupe IPL and amazed onlookers by lapping the circuit at high speed, demonstrating the true handling capabilities of these luxury road cars.

The 2010 World Champion, who has won five out of the first six races of this year, then offered high performance passenger rides to a number of journalists and VIP guests of Infiniti, pushing the car further than any of his passengers thought possible.

Commenting on his experience, Sebastian Vettel said: "It was good fun driving today. The Infiniti G37 is a great handling car with a strong engine meaning we could explore the limits around the track and it was great to see people's faces as we lapped the circuit at high speed. Canada is one of my favourite races of the year and driving a performance car like this ahead of the Grand Prix is a great warm up for the race."

From the 2011 season, Infiniti is a major partner of the Red Bull Racing team and features prominently on the race-winning RB7 driven by Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber.
