VOLVO CANADA - Volvo Car Canada Ltd. is pleased to report its sales results for May: a total of 1,037 vehicles were retailed throughout the month, for an increase of 2.8 percent when compared to May of 2021. Year-to-date, the company has sold a total of 4,236 vehicles in Canada, representing an increase of 2.3 percent when compared to the same time last year.
Led by the volume driving XC60 Recharge, demand
for Volvo’s exciting lineup of plug-in hybrids and pure electrics remained
strong in May, with the company’s Recharge models accounting for 34 percent
of all new vehicle sales for the brand in Canada.
Of note, the XC40 Recharge, the brand’s first
all-electric SUV received significant praise from the Automobile Journalist’s
Association of Canada (AJAC) in May, as it was named the Green Utility Vehicle
of the Year.
Certified by Volvo, Volvo Car Canada’s
pre-owned division, retailed a total of 253 units for the month, representing a
decrease of 11 percent when compared to May of last year.
