Hyundai Canada posts May 2022 sales, sees continued positive momentum for electrified models


HYUNDAI CANADA - 
Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. reported total May sales of 9,724 units, a decrease of 23.8 per cent compared to May 2021. Hyundai’s best-selling models were the Kona (2,588 units), Tucson (1,813 units) and Elantra (1,533 units).

Hyundai’s electrified fleet showed strong sales with 1,518 units, representing 15.6 per cent of May’s sales volume.

AJAC’s Utility Vehicle of the Year, the Tucson, is the nameplate with the most electrified sales, with 432 units for the Tucson HEV and 129 units for the Tucson PHEV. The Kona EV sold an impressive 351 units, followed by the World Car of the Year winner, IONIQ 5, with 300 units.
