September was a good month for utility vehicles as sales of the Forester, Outback and Tribeca were especially strong. Outback sales increased by 25.2 percent over last September while Forester results were up 22.3 percent as well. Tribeca sales also rose by an incredible 62.1 percent.

"Although sales have levelled off while we await the arrival of our all-new 2012 Impreza, our dealers have worked together to sell through the remaining supply of 2011 vehicles. We anticipate that the arrival of our 2012 lineup, including the next-generation Impreza, will help us conclude 2011 as the second best year ever in company history."
