Nissan reports best-ever Canadian sales for August, up almost 30 per cent year-over-year

NISSAN CANADA - Nissan reported yesterday its best August ever in Canada with sales of 8,192 units, an increase of 29.4 per cent from the same month last year. With six consecutive months exceeding 8,000 units sold, Nissan Canada Inc. calendar year-to-date sales are its strongest to date.

Nissan division sales totaled an August record of 7,279 deliveries, up 31.2 per cent. The Infiniti division also set a monthly sales record with deliveries totaling 913 units, an increase of more than 17 per cent over 2012.

NISSAN HIGHLIGHTS

Nissan Division had its best August ever with sales totaling 7,279 units, up 31.2 per cent from last year
Nissan Rogue was the strongest seller in the line-up with a 55 per cent year-over-year increase and 1,610 units sold
The all-new Versa Note contributed to Versa sales increasing 78 per cent over last year with 1,527 units sold
Nissan Pathfinder sales jumped more than 800 per cent year-over-year with 711 units delivered
The JUKE, Xterra and Nissan’s all-electric LEAF all posted strong year-over-year increases of 72, 79 and 180 per cent, respectively

INFINITI HIGHLIGHTS

Infiniti posted its best August ever in Canada with sales totaling 913 units, up 17.1 per cent over August 2012
Combined sales of the brand new Infiniti Q50 sports sedan and G sedan achieved an August sales record of 444 units, up 133 per cent
