Nissan reports Canadian sales for July, up 53.8 per cent year-over-year

NISSAN CANADA - Nissan reported July Canadian sales of 8,176 units, an increase of 53.8 per cent from last year. Nissan division sales totaled 7,436 deliveries, up 60.4 per cent, with five of its core models – Pathfinder, Altima, Rogue, Sentra and Versa – posting significant increases. Infiniti division deliveries totaled 740 units, an increase of nearly nine per cent over 2012.

"I am delighted that our efforts to provide Canadians with the right product line-up has increased traffic in our showrooms and ultimately impacted sales," said Christian Meunier, President, Nissan Canada Inc. "With the all-new products like the recently launched Nissan Versa Note and the Infiniti Q50 coming soon, we're excited to build on this momentum into the second half of the year."

Nissan Division sales totaled 7,436 units in July, up 60.4 per cent from last year Nissan Sentra was the strongest seller in the line-up with a 32.9 per cent year-over-year increase and 1,511 units sold Nissan Pathfinder had its best July in 13 years with 682 units delivered, an increase of 1,351 per cent over the same month last year With the first full month of availability of the all-new Versa Note, Nissan Versa sales increased 37.7 per cent over last year with 1,242 units sold The Altima and Rogue posted year-over-year increases of 84.2 and 53.9 per cent, respectively The new addition to Nissan's commercial vehicle line-up - the all-new NV200 compact commercial van – enjoyed its best month yet with 72 units sold

Infiniti sales totaled 740 units, up 8.7 per cent over July 2012 Infiniti JX continued to be the brand's top seller with 337 units sold, an increase of 14.2 per cent over last year Sales of the Infiniti G line-up remained strong this month with 199 units sold
