Up Your iQ: The Smart Money is on the 2013 Scion iQ

SCION CANADA - Expert urban agility. Modern style. Function with flare. Remarkable in-cabin space. And a huge list of standard features, including a new audio system for 2013. The Scion iQ is the little car with big ideas – packing tremendous value into its four-seater configuration with a starting MSRP of just $17,070.

"The Scion iQ is the small car that's big on style, performance and innovation," said Cyril Dimitris, Director of Scion in Canada. "New for 2013, every Scion iQ features an upgraded audio system and a new, more comfortable driver's seat – plus incredible opportunities for personalization with factory-direct parts and accessories."

The iQ's big value story is one of innovation and features. Clever storage systems and design maximize interior space, while standard convenience features like keyless entry, automatic up/down power windows, air conditioning and tilt steering column make riding in the iQ a pleasure. The iQ is loaded with premium features, too – from a satellite-ready six-speaker audio system with Bluetooth connectivity… and a multi-information display, eco monitor and trip computer… to dual vanity mirrors, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, window jam protection and tire pressure monitoring systems… and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Outside, dual side mirrors are power adjustable and heated, with integrated turn signals.

The Scion iQ is big on performance and efficiency, with a 94 horsepower 1.3L 4-cylinder engine and continuously variable transmission that work together to deliver a 5.1 L / 100 KM city/highway combined fuel efficiency rating. Meantime, electric power steering, Macpherson struts on a stabilized front suspension plus torsion beam rear suspension, and front ventilated disc brakes with rear drums on 16" tires ensure driving fun and confidence.  The iQ's stance lets drivers take full-advantage of its 8.06 meter turning circle.

The Scion iQ is also big on safety with 11 standard airbags plus the Scion Star Safety System – six active technologies that protect passengers and help drivers to avoid accidents. Other safety features include a highly rigid cabin and impact absorbing body structure, anchor points for child seats, integrated headrests on the front seats, and more.
