Ford of Canada is the Top Winner at the 2013 AJAC Awards

FORD CANADA - Ford of Canada led the competition at the 2013 Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) Car of the Year TestFest, claiming the top spot in four categories:

· 2012 Ford Focus Electric won "Best New City Car"
· 2013 Fusion Hybrid won "Best New Family Car over $30,000"
· 2013 Ford Escape 1.6L SE won "Best New SUV under $35,000"
· 2013 Ford Focus ST scored "Best New Sports – Performance car under $50,000"

The zero-CO2-emissions, gasoline-free Focus Electric provides outstanding energy efficiency, reliable operation, and real driving enjoyment. It's the first five-passenger, all–electric car to achieve a 1.7 Le/100 km rating. Focus Electric was the first vehicle to win this new innovative category.

Fusion Hybrid has raised the bar in the segment by offering leading fuel-efficiency, helpful technologies and game-changing looks. The vehicle is also equipped with a lithium-ion battery which allows it to hit a top speed of 100 kilometres an hour under electric only power.
