KIA CANADA - Kia Canada Inc. (KCI) is excited to bring back Drive Change Day on August 21st, 2012, for the second annual rendition. Drive Change is a vital part of KCI's social responsibility program and emphasizes their commitment to positively supporting communities throughout Canada.
"The second annual Drive Change Day will build on the success of last year's program to both encourage and celebrate all initiatives across the country," said Maria Soklis, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (CEO) of KCI. "We are asking all Canadians to get involved and make a difference in someone's life."
In partnership with Shaw Media (including: Global TV, History Television, HGTV, TVTropolis, Food Network, Slice, National Geographic Channel, MovieTime and BBC Canada) and Quebecor Media (including: TVA, CASA, Mlle, Salut Bonjour!, TVA Nouvelles), KCI's Drive Change Day message will proudly be aired through television spots and segments nationally. A series of television spots featuring celebrity ambassadors Rick Campanelli, Catherine Marion, Peter Fallico, Michael Smith, Anouk Meunier, François Tremblay and Patrick Marsolais were created to inspire Canadians to visit the Drive Change Day website headquarters - www.DriveChangeWithKia.ca . The television spots share heartfelt stories from past experiences in lending a helping hand and will motivate others to get involved. The integrated stories will be told on ET Canada and Salut Bonjour! All of the celebrity ambassadors will be taking part in public events on and leading up to August 21st, which will be well documented throughout the media firms.
How to get involved:
When visiting the Drive Change Day website hub, www.DriveChangeWithKia.ca , users will be directed to share their initiatives using the distinctive Drive Change Road Map. Additionally, the website easily guides visitors to get involved in some way, either at home, work or in the community and offers ideas on how to participate. From these events, four winners, one from each region of Canada – Atlantic, Eastern, Central and Western - will be chosen by a Drive Change Committee to receive a $10,000 donation on behalf of Kia Canada.
Kia Canada encourages everyone to visit www.DriveChangeWithKia.ca and share a project they will undertake leading up to, or on, August 21st, 2012 – Drive Change Day. To drive national awareness and inspire Canadians, the following touch points have been developed in conjunction with Drive Change Day:
