Infiniti Canada accepts fourth consecutive Luxury Brand residual value award at Canadian International Auto Show

NISSAN CANADA - Last week, at the Canadian International Auto Show, Infiniti Canada received three ALG Residual Value Awards including its fourth consecutive Best Luxury Brand award. For the second year in-a-row, ALG named the Infiniti QX56 Luxury Fullsize Utility award recipient, while the EX35 received the award for best Luxury Compact Utility.

"Delivering inspired products that are best-in-class is what Infiniti is all about and recognition by ALG as Best Luxury Brand four years in a row is a testament to this," said Allen Childs, President of Nissan Canada Inc. "Our line-up continues to provide exceptional performance, style and excitement, and the added benefit of residual value is certainly something that appeals to drivers."

Last week, at the Canadian International Auto Show, Allen Childs, President of Nissan Canada, accepted three ALG Canadian Residual Value Awards for Infiniti Canada including Best Luxury Brand.

ALG Award winners are determined through careful study of the competition in each segment, historical vehicle performance, industry trends, and economic conditions. Vehicle quality, production levels relative to demand, and pricing and marketing strategies remain the key factors that impact ALG's residual value forecasts.

"Infiniti's top ranking among luxury brands category is a testament to the significant desirability and strong value of its models," said Geoff Helby, Canada Regional Director for ALG. "Infiniti delivers a combination of unique performance and luxury to offer consumers excellent value."

ETHEREA Concept

Infiniti's CIAS showcases include the Canadian premiere of the ETHEREA concept, a unique design, blending elements of a coupe, sedan, hatchback and crossover into a vehicle that is truly in a class of its own.

The ETHEREA concept integrates a supercharged, 2.5-litre, 4 cylinder engine producing 245 horsepower and delivers quick response and strong acceleration throughout the performance range, with an electric motor that provides silent, emission-free driving at low speeds.

The spacious four-seat ETHEREA cabin offers all the luxury that Infiniti owners expect, plus unrivalled ease of access and egress boosted by an H-point, which is higher than that of the average compact luxury car. Four wide-opening doors, rear-hinged at the back, and an absence of B-pillar offer an unprecedented feeling of openness. This concept is a preview of what a future entry-level compact performance luxury sedan from Infiniti could look like.

Infiniti JX

Making its regional debut, the all-new 2013 Infiniti JX is a bold new offering in the luxury crossover segment designed to excel in the areas that this segment's buyers desire most. The Infiniti JX offers segment-leading overall passenger and rear cargo volume with increased accessibility through wide door openings and the ability to access the 3rd row without having to remove a 2nd row child seat.

At a starting MSRP of $44,900, the Infiniti JX is loaded with technologies including the world's only Back-up Collision Intervention (BCI), added to the currently available Blind Spot Intervention (BSI) system. When the transmission is in reverse, this safety feature will help the driver detect crossing vehicles and objects behind the vehicle and, if necessary, can automatically engage the brakes to help avoid a collision.

"The all-new JX is the new standard in luxury family mobility offering all the excitement and performance expected from Infiniti at a price that's sure to shake up the market when it arrives in dealerships this spring," said Wendy Durward, Director of Infiniti.

Red Bull Racing

Finally, Infiniti celebrated its partnership with the Red Bull Racing team, featuring the World Champion RB8 Formula One replica car on the stand and giving visitors the opportunity to catch a glimpse into the domain of Infiniti's global brand ambassador and two-time World Champion F1 driver, Sebastian Vettel.
