Nissan reports Canadian sales for May

NISSAN CANADA - Nissan reported Monday May Canadian sales of 8,367 units, down 9.1 per cent from last year's total of 9,204. Nissan Division sales decreased 8.8 per cent in May with 7,634 deliveries, while Infiniti deliveries totaled 733 units, down 11.8 per cent over 2012.
 
NISSAN HIGHLIGHTS
 
• Nissan sales totaled 7,634 units
• Nissan Sentra was the strongest seller in the line-up with a 74.9 per cent year-over-year increase and 1,716 units sold
• The all-new Pathfinder SUV had its best May since 2002 with 539 units sold, up 381.3 per cent from May 2012
• Nissan truck sales remained very strong with both the Titan and Frontier pick-up trucks posting best-ever May sales with 29.4 and 27.7 per cent year-over-year increases respectively
• Nissan's all-new NV200 compact commercial van continued its encouraging start to Canadian sales with 71 units sold

INFINITI HIGHLIGHTS
 
• Infiniti sales totaled 733 units, down 11.8 per cent over May 2012
• Instantly becoming the most popular vehicle in the Infiniti line-up when it arrived late last April, sales of the Infiniti JX luxury crossover totaled 267 units
• Sales of the Infiniti G and Infiniti EX remained strong in May, with 218 and 139 units sold respectively
