Nissan reports Canadian sales for February

NISSAN CANADA - Nissan reported last Friday Canadian monthly sales of 5,635 units, down 11.1 per cent over the same month last year. The Infiniti luxury brand recorded its best-ever February with sales of 711 units, up 27.2 per cent over the same month last year. Nissan division sales were 4,924 units for the month, down 14.9 per cent.
 
The all-new Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover remains a popular new entry with sales of 276 units in February, making it Infiniti's top seller. The 2013 G line-up sold 154 units. EX37 jumped 115.9 per cent in February and both the QX56 and FX increased sales up 30.6 and 20.4 per cent, respectively.
 
On the Nissan side, sales of the all-new 2013 Pathfinder SUV increased 80.1 per cent with 434 units sold. The Rogue continues to be the most popular vehicle in the line-up with sales of 1,022 units, followed by the all-new Sentra and Versa with 918 and 661 units, respectively. Sales of JUKE increased 14.4 per cent year-over-year, with a NISMO version arriving soon in limited supply.
 
The Nissan commercial vehicle line-up sold 88 units, up 11.4 per cent in February. The all-new Nissan NV200 compact commercial van will join the full-size line-up in dealerships soon offering best-in-class fuel economy and turning radius, and other unexpected features like Tire Pressure Monitoring System, all for the lowest starting MSRP in this competitive segment.

• Sales of Nissan's commercial vehicle line-up increased 11.4 per cent
• The all-electric Nissan LEAF sold 37 units in February
• Total NCI sales were 5,635 units, down 11.1 per cent
