"The Frontier offers the capability, styling, off-road performance credentials, innovative versatility and interior comfort of a full-size truck.  It's designed and built for those who are active, love the outdoors, and yet it has the technology to serve as a mobile office," said Judy Wheeler, Director of Marketing, Nissan Canada Inc. "Nissan is a proud pioneer in the mid-size truck segment - our experience goes back to 1986. The refreshed 2013 Frontier provides significant enhancements and more standard features, and with our aggressive pricing strategy, we expect to ascertain Nissan's leadership position in a segment it had a huge role in defining."

The Frontier King Cab S M/T now starts at $20,898, a decrease of $3,580, and the popular Crew Cab SV A/T now starts at $31,018, a decrease of $4,580.

For 2013, Frontier again offers an exceptional level of on- and off-road performance with the use of a 4.0-litre DOHC V6 engine rated at 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. A 152-horsepower 2.5-litre inline 4-cylinder engine is also available (4x2 King Cab only). With its strong performance, combined with good fuel mileage (10.8 city, 8.6 highway, I4 King Cab 2WD M/T), the Frontier is a fitting truck for work or play. Fuel economy for most 2013 Frontier models has increased by as much as 12 per cent on models such as the CC 4x2 V6 5AT, due to reduced engine friction and improved aerodynamics.

A number of enhancements are offered for the 2013 model year – a tailgate spoiler is added on all models, and the available SV Premium Package which now includes, Dual Zone Auto A/C, RearView Camera, rear sonar, Auto-dimming Mirror w/ Compass & Temp, Spray-In Bedliner, Utili-Track system w/ 4 adjustable tie down cleats and In-Cabin Microfilter.

Through the PRO-4X models, Frontier features an electronic rear differential locker - a class-exclusive offering on the Crew Cab. Other available features include: Nissan Navigation System with NissanConnect, heated leather seats, sunroof, tubular aluminum roof rack, and off-road suspension package featuring Bilstein shock absorbers.

Combining premium hardware, extraordinary power and off-road athleticism, Frontier continues to be a leader in the mid-size truck segment, and win numerous accolades for dependability and value. For example, the Nissan Frontier was ranked the number one compact pickup in Autobytel and AutoPacific's 2012 Vehicle Satisfaction Survey. The award measures how satisfied new car and light truck buyers are with their recently purchased vehicle and is based on more than 75,000 survey respondents who objectively rate 48 key vehicle attributes on their importance when considering to purchase, as well as satisfaction after purchase.
