Nissan reports November Canadian sales

NISSAN CANADA - Nissan yesterday reported Canadian November sales of 6,011 units, down 6.4 per cent over the same month last year. The Infiniti luxury brand recorded its eleventh consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth with 597 units sold, an increase of 12.4 per cent. Nissan division sales were 5,414 units for the month, down 8.1 per cent.
 
The completely redesigned Nissan Pathfinder, with its aerodynamic design, plethora of best-in-class features and best-in-class combined highway and city fuel economy*, helped propel sales to an impressive 678 units in its first full month on the market, an increase of 505.4 per cent.
 
November also marked the first full sales month of the redesigned Nissan Sentra, which moved up in style, sophistication and refinement for model year 2013. The Sentra's all-new design and best-in-class combined fuel economy of 5.8L/100 km**, helped Sentra become the top-selling vehicle in the Nissan portfolio, up 47.9 per cent from November 2011.
 
Nissan's truck division continued its strong sales momentum last month. Titan's calendar year-to-date sales have already surpassed 2011 sales with 3,302 units sold, while Frontier sales were 238 units, an increase of 88.9 per cent. November marked the second-best month on record for Nissan's commercial vehicle lineup with 110 units sold, up 7.8 per cent.
 
Infiniti sales are up 12.4 per cent this month with 597 units sold, and are tracking up 17.0 per cent calendar year-to-date. With 217 units sold, the all-new Infiniti JX luxury crossover continues to be popular with those seeking interior flexibility and roominess, safety, and advanced hospitality features, bringing total sales for JX since its spring launch to 2,015 units.
 
NCI NOVEMBER 2012 HIGHLIGHTS
 
• The all-new Nissan Pathfinder recorded a year-over-year increase of 505.4 per cent, with 678 units sold
• The Nissan Sentra subcompact became the top-selling model in the Nissan lineup with 988 deliveries, up 47.9 per cent
• Sales of the Nissan Frontier compact truck were 238 units, up 88.9 per cent while the rugged Nissan Xterra posted an increase of 15.9 per cent with 102 units sold
• Nissan's commercial vehicle line-up recorded its second best-selling month on record with 110 units sold, up 7.8 per cent
• Infiniti sales are up 12.4 per cent this month with 597 units sold, while calendar year-to-date sales are tracking 17 per cent over last year
• The all-new Infiniti JX 7-passenger luxury crossover recorded sales of 217 units in November
• Total NCI sales were 6,011 units this month, down 6.4 per cent over last year
• Nissan division sales were 5,414 units for the month, down 8.1 per cent
