Nissan Canada Inc. reports September sales


NISSAN CANADA - Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) reported September sales of 6,160 units, down 13.2 per cent over the same month last year. Infiniti sales are up 0.6 per cent this month with 731 units sold, and is tracking up 19.3 per cent calendar year-to-date. Nissan division sales were 5,429 units for the month, down 14.8 per cent.
 
Sales of the all-new Nissan Altima increased 35.1 per cent this month with 1,016 units, while the top-selling vehicle in the line-up was the Versa with 1,116 units sold (up 21.6 per cent). Sales of Nissan trucks remained strong with the Nissan Titan recording its best month ever with 414 units sold, up 21.4 per cent over September 2011. Sales of Frontier and Xterra also increased, jumping 23.7 and 78.6 percent, respectively.
 
On the Infiniti side, the Infiniti G was the top seller in the line-up with 228 units sold, while the all-new JX continued its popularity with sales of 202 units. The QX56 full-size luxury SUV posted its best September sales ever with 46 units sold. The Infiniti brand has posted year-over-year increases each month so far in 2012.
 
NCI SEPTEMBER 2012 HIGHLIGHTS:
 
• Sales of the all-new Nissan Altima rose 35.1 per cent this month with 1,016 units

• Versa is the most popular seller in the Nissan line-up with 1,116 units sold (up 21.6 per cent)
• Infiniti Division sales are up 19.3 per cent calendar year-to-date and this month posted an increase of 0.6 per cent, with 731 units sold
• Infiniti QX set a September sales record with 46 units sold
• The G Line-up was the most popular for Infiniti with 228 units sold, followed by the JX with 202 units
• Total NCI sales totaled 6,160 units in September
• Nissan Division sales were 5,429 this month
